چکیده

This study was aimed to determine the effects of supplementing corn silage with commercial lactic acid bacteria (LAB) inoculant and pre-fermented LAB juice (PFJ) on quality. Silage groups other than control group were designed by adding (Bonsilage-Mais, 2.5 × 105cfu/g fresh material), 0.1% (3× 05cfu/g 0.3% (9×105cfu/g 0.5% (1.5×106cfu/g material) PFJ. Each treatment prepared in four replicates. When compared group, addition 0.3%, PFJ decreased dry matter content silages, while increased crude protein (P

The Effect of a Silage Inoculant on Silage Quality, Aerobic Stability and Milk Production

A silage inoculant [Biomin® BioStabil Plus, BSP, a blend of Enterococcus faecium (DSM 3530), Lactobacillus brevis (DSM 19456) and Lactobacillus plantarum (DSM 19457)], was used on legume-grass silage [32% of dry matter (DM)] vs. an untreated control silage (CT). The material had mean crude protein (CP) and water soluble carbohydrate (WSC) concentrations of 174 and 88 g/kg,respectively. BSP resu...

The Effects of Inoculant Lactic Acid Bacteria on the Fermentation and Aerobic Stability of Sunflower Silage

This study was carried out to determine the effects of actic acid bacterial inoculant on the fermentation and aerobic stability of sunflower silages. Sunflower was harvested at the milk stage. Inoculant-1174 (Pioneer®,USA) was used as homofermentative lactic acid bacterial inoculant. Inoculant was applied 6.00 log10 cfu/g silage levels. Silages with no additive served as controls. The survival of silage inoculant lactic acid bacteria in rumen fluid.

AIMS To determine whether lactic acid bacteria (LAB) used in inoculants for silage can survive in rumen fluid (RF), and to identify those that survive best. METHODS AND RESULTS Twelve commercial silage inoculants were added at 107 CFU ml-1 to strained RF (SRF) taken from dairy cows, with and without 5 g l-1 glucose and incubated in vitro at 39 degrees C. Changes in pH, LAB numbers and ferment...

Bacterial Inoculant Effects on Corn Silage Fermentation and Nutrient Composition

The survival and effect of three new probiotic inoculants (Lactobacillus plantarum CCM 4000, L. fermentum LF2, and Enterococcus faecium CCM 4231) on the nutritive value and fermentation parameters of corn silage was studied under laboratory conditions. Whole corn plants (288.3 g/kg DM) were cut and ensiled at 21°C for 105 days. The inoculants were applied at a concentration of 1.0×10 cfu/ml. Un...

Chemical composition, silage fermentation characteristics, and in vitro ruminal fermentation parameters of potato-wheat straw silage treated with molasses and lactic acid bacteria and corn silage.

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of molasses and lactic acid bacteria (LAB) on the chemical composition, silage fermentation characteristics, and in vitro ruminal fermentation parameters of an ensiled potato-wheat straw mixture in a completely randomized design with 4 replicates. Wheat straw was harvested at full maturity and potato tuber when the leaves turned yellowish. The p...
